Windows – Move the MySQL database to disk D

Stop MySQL56 service
Create folder D:\MYSQL
Edit as admin C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.6\my-default.ini
Change “datadir=C:/Program Files/MySQL/MySQL Server 5.6/Data/” to the new location (example: “datadir=D:/MYSQL/Data/”)
Copy the folder C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.6\Data to D:\MYSQL
Start MySQL56 service
*If everything works properly, You can delete the old Data folder from disk C:
