Centos 7 – Configure NTP Client

On client’s Side:

Install NTP Client:

yum install ntp -y
service ntpd start

Configuration:

systemctl stop ntpd
nano /etc/ntp.conf

Add NTP server as you wish, in this case:

server 1.asia.pool.ntp.org iburst

Setup:

chkconfig ntpd on
timedatectl set-ntp true

Check status:

timedatectl
ntpdate -d 1.asia.pool.ntp.org

Restart and check Sync with server:

systemctl restart ntpd
ntpq -p
ntpd -gq
systemctl restart ntpd
timedatectl set-ntp true
timedatectl
